The reality of the AI hype train

ai

Its my personal blog, I guess I can write what I like, and it turns out that AI is a really interesting subject.

I've been on a few forums, and reading around on some popular Q and A sites, and where content is king, people are using prompts to answer questions.

I'm not too sure that content created about AI is the future, I mean yeah, it can really summarise a subject well, and in a business sense it makes a great customer agent, however in a creativity and intelligence sense, AI is stifling our creativity.

The plus points to AI are the advantages of summary really quickly, and the disadvantages lie in quickly repeative content.

An AI model fed it's own data will just regurgitate it's own content, and this can create a really dull feedback loop.

AI models are data hungry, they are in desperate need of new data, they need the inputs, the models need building.

There is the opportunity to create your own models, and this is important, context is important.

A mechanic could feed all their customers to a database, and this would let the AI generalise on problems based on past results, in their context it could save time and money and is massively important for small businesses.

Ultimately, creativity is key, without it, AI will rhetoric the same answers, it won't evolve, in order to evolve we need to be more creative, AI can summarise content, but without more content, without more intellectual it will become stale quickly.

This is a blog post jumping on the AI hype, an introduction to AI from my personal view.
