IOS 18
IOS 18 was released on the 16th September 2024 which brough with it Apple Intelligence, more customization options, locked and hidden apps, a big update to controls and customizations, restructuring of the images library, and much much more according to Apple.
Apple Intelligence
Apple describes Apple Intelligence as a "personal intelligence system that combines the power of generative models with personal context." Essentially, Apple Intelligence is a suite of AI-powered tools, These tools are embedded directly within Apple's operating system and existing apps, rather than being their own separate, standalone programs. "It’s personal intelligence, and it's the next big step for Apple," CEO Tim Cook said during Apple Intelligence's announcement in June.
AI is a big thing right now, and Apple Intelligence seems like it is designed by taking your usage data, and providing support with messages and photos based on how you use your phone.

Photos app has been massively overhauled.

An overhauled notification
AI Powered mail functionalit for writing more personalised responses.

AI Powered summaries and Text effects, formatting, higher resolution photos and videos for messaging people without an iPhone.

Live transcriptions, maths in notes, and other notes features.
